038 [W11] MATERIAL RESEARCH

Follow is information on materials i wish to use within my entity...

|| Dexter Zinc Cladding ||

I've chosen zinc cladding due to its high quality finish / appeal . It is a representation of the high standards that Australia will 'illustrate' to the australian people through the integration of my design.

Material Thickness:
0.7 mm VM Zinc "pluc"

Colours:
Quartz (titanium Silver), Anthra (Black)

Sheet Widths:
400mm

Sheet Lengths:
600mm to 1000mm

Substrate:
15mm CD Grade Plywood

Underlay:
Breathable vapour barrier type building paper

100mm to 600mm (600mm standard)

15mm CD Grade Plywood

Breathable vapour barrier type building paper

Expansion:
For sheets over 2m the use of both fixed and sliding clips

Wpc Decking
An Attractive and dependable decking solution that will withstand the test of time. Each piece is knot free and consistent in size, colour and length, therefor eliminating the search for the perfect piece. It looks, smells and handles like wood but has the durability of plastic.

After my discussion with Jane yesterday i decided to go 'Back to basics'. By this i mean going back to the initial project one to see if my design response so far is meeting expectations..

Thoughts on design to date:

I believe that the entity is not achieving the vision that i first strived for, thus i have decided to keep a few elements that i liked so far and start re-thinking the design..

TUTORIAL DISCUSSION
After todays discussion with Jane it was obvious that i needed to re-evaluate my design approach. She prompted me to return to the initial project one and discover the thought process that determined why we went the direction that we did.

TUTORIAL DISCUSSION
Today i had a brief discussion with Jane showing her the concept sketches that i have done to date. Her comments with promising with good feedback on the overal concept.

She commented that i need to begin producing some 3d sketches.. Thus allowing her to understand the connections between spaces and how it is relevant to Australian Parliament
